Hi family and friends! ❤️

I wanted to share something that has been quite meaningful to me.

During my volunteering at Sree Narayana Mission, I met many elderly uncles and aunties who live alone and don’t get to see their families often. Spending time with them made me realise how much a little companionship can mean.

One aunty I spoke to really stayed in my heart. She was a single mother who devoted her life to raising her only son. Today, her son and grandchildren are living in Australia and rarely visit. Hearing her talk about it made me feel really sad.

I also met another aunty who loved playing Zinga. Because of her hearing difficulties, it was hard for us to communicate at first. I used pictures to ask about her favourite fruits, and seeing her smile when we connected was such a small but special moment for me. 🥹

This experience reminded me not to take our elders for granted. They have spent so much of their lives caring for others, and I feel they deserve the same love, patience and care in return.

I’m supporting this campaign because I want to play a small part in making them feel loved, valued and not forgotten.
