About
As LGBTQ+ people we often have worries & concerns about disappointing our loved ones, face intended & unintended micro aggressions, and absorb feelings of shame that are hoisted upon us by societal norms and even well meaning people around us.
What does it mean to be kind to oneself? How might that kindness be expressed in a painting or art? What if we let go of the rules, make room for mistakes and discover together how art can help us cultivate a kinder inner voice. Paint your inner garden as you transform random lines and cut-outs into beautiful shapes hidden within the chaos.
Come as you are and leave perfection at the door. Through playful, messy exploration, we’ll step away from the pressure to perform and make space for self-kindness and compassion.
Chaos, Colours and Compassion is presented as part of October in Mind, a Proud Spaces initiative nurturing mental wellbeing by strengthening social support, connection and community resilience.
