Hi family and friends! ❤️

I recently spent some time volunteering with the elderly at Sree Narayana Mission, and the experience was very close to my heart.

My parents are in Bangladesh while I live in Singapore, so I don’t get to see them as often as I would like. I was also very close to my grandparents growing up, and since they have passed away, spending time with elderly people often reminds me of them.

I enjoyed talking with the residents and playing cards with them. Seeing them smile and enjoy the game made me really happy. One aunty even shared that 5 September was her wedding anniversary and told me how her husband and daughter surprised her with a cake. When the staff joked that she would have to finish it herself, she happily said she would eat the whole thing—even though she has diabetes! 😂❤️

It reminded me that sometimes, a little time, attention and conversation can bring someone genuine happiness.
