Help Adrian Cover the Cost of 3,000 Masks
When the haze returned to Singapore, Adrian wanted to do something to help.
Worried about his dad, who works as a taxi driver, and his grandmother, who regularly goes out to collect cardboard, he started SG As One — a community initiative to help get N95 masks to people who need them.
Adrian understands that while masks may be available at collection points, getting there isn’t always easy for everyone. Some seniors may have difficulty travelling to collect them, while others may not know where to get them.
Instead of asking people to make their way to a collection point, SG As One brings neighbours and volunteers together to help get masks closer to people’s doorsteps.
The initiative allows households to request masks, volunteers to help with packing and delivery, and Block Hosts to coordinate requests for neighbours in their HDB blocks. It’s a simple idea built around something we know well in Singapore, which is looking out for one another.
Adrian has already personally funded and secured 3,000 N95 masks for the community, spending over $5,000 of his own money. Now, he’s planning to purchase a total of 10,000 masks for distribution this Sunday.
We’re hoping to raise $1,800 to help cover the cost of 3,000 of those masks.
Adrian is putting in his own money to make this happen, and we want to help ease some of that cost so he can reach more people.
